Help Make an Idea Come to Life

Let me tell you about my friend Scott Hildebrandt.  He is one of my best friends, and we went to high school together in upstate (okay, western) New York.  He went to a great engineering school, has a great job, and is married to his longtime girlfriend.

He also has a dream.

Scott and I played golf about 5 years ago in Dallas.  And, after a round of golf one day at the Bear Creek Golf Club (right under the approach path for DFW airport) we were settling down into a couple beers and some huge, Texas-sized, ribeye steaks.  He drew out on a cocktail napkin the idea for a new kind of fantasy sports/stock market website. Scott didn't just dream it up at that moment though, this is something that Scott has been marinating in for much longer...today that dream is in its embryonic stages.

He has worked with an amazing web design and development agency out of Pittsburgh, PA: Full Stop Interactive to design and build one of the best user interfaces that I've come across.  I had the pleasure of meeting these guys at SXSW 2011 - and I can personally say they are awesome guys who hold themselves to an incredible standard - its obvious in their work. Scott has paid Full Stop out of his own pocket - in other words, he has financed this dream himself...he's not asking you to invest your money.

What he is looking for, is you to get involved and create a profile on the website and play the game and provide feedback to him and the guys at Full Stop. If you like football, this will be fun. Scott has a dream and I'm asking that you help make his dream come to life and sign-up.  You can think of it as playing a new fantasy sports game, or you can think of it as a chance to help someone make their big-idea happen.

Scott has taken some pretty bold moves to make bring this idea this far. We all have 'that idea'...that big one that we just know if we executed and dedicated our time to...well you know the rest.  Scott has taken the steps to make his idea, his dream, come true. Just to be involved in something like that is pretty awesome.

Scott's website is called Bandwagon Sports and when its all grown up it will have all the major sports - but right now, he's starting out small with the NFL. Smart.

Check out my profile on the site and create your own.  Here's the chance to get involved in something new, something exciting, and help someone make their dream come true.

Don't forget to tell your friends.
